* PRE LOVED *

Hello Lovely and thank you for visiting Serendipity Crystals.

Several times a year, I put out an offer to sell on crystals and gemstone jewellery that people are no longer using. These become PRE LOVED items.

This means they may have been lightly used or worn, but are in tip top condition to be passed on to someone new. Many of us have had the experience of being drawn to a crystal or piece of jewellery and not being able to part with it for several days or weeks. However, after that initial connection, the crystal has done it’s job in supporting us and we no longer feel the need for that particular energy any more.

In the past, I have often gifted these pieces to others, given them to raise money for charity or like many of us, left them in a jewellery box, drawer or cupboard gathering dust. PRE LOVED isn’t a new concept, but it is one that is really handy for gemstone jewellery & crystal lovers as the very nature of working with energy & vibration means that our own resonance is shifting all the time. Most of us are trying to raise our vibrations so that we are lighter and brighter. Once we’ve shifted into that higher energy, many of the sparklies that used to resonate for us, simply don’t any more.

However, what do we do with those pieces? Do we keep them as ornaments? Keep them in a box at the back of a drawer? Leave them languishing at the bottom of a jewellery box for years?

In my humble opinion, it’s so much nicer to move those pieces on, not only for the financial & practical benefit, but to keep the energies in our home relevant, bright and fluid. That way, we keep minerals circulating the globe at reasonable prices and ensure they are available for many to experience for years to come. The price of most metals and gemstones is rising rapidly and Pre Loved is one way of keeping those prices down. My ethos with PRE LOVED isn’t so much about money. It’s more about making hard to come by pieces more accessible for all. Not everyone can afford or obtain some of the rarer or more expensive crystals ~ such as Herkimer Diamonds, Moldavite, Tourmalines, Larimar etc.

For example, Moldavite already carried a hefty price tag given it’s rarity, but after a marketing campaign carried out on Tik Tok in March 2021, the Asian suppliers bought up nearly all supplies of Moldavite Worldwide. This forced the price to quadruple within a space of 72 hours ~ so a piece that cost £50 in 2020 now costs over £225 in 2024. That is absolutely bonkers and Pre Loved is a way we can keep Moldavite freely circulating & affordable.

If you have a collection of or any jewellery items, crystals or carvings that you’d like to pass on to others, please do drop me a line at serendipity@kristyhodges.com with a clear photo taken on a white background (preferably in natural light) and the price you’d like for the collection or piece. If you’re unsure of the price, we can look into that between us. It would be nice for each party in the exchange to come away feeling happy ~ so am looking to make you some money, a little bit of for me to cover time/admin/costs and a wonderful bargain for the buyer. It’s all about keeping the energy high, freely moving and fair to all.

Please be aware that if you’re looking for a price that is similar to what you originally paid, I’m not the person to sell to. There are some cracking groups on social media who sell pre loved items for what they practically cost new, sometimes at prices even higher!! That, to me, completely defeats the object of Pre Loved. ALL of the pieces listed on Serendipity Crystals will always be lower than the original cost and will offer a good bargain against today’s retail prices.

Unfortunately, I can’t sell on tumblestones or small pieces unless they are rare. Am really interested in nice, clean pieces of jewellery or crystals of any kind that deserve to be out there in the World, vibing high and making a difference in people’s lives.
