Terms and Conditions

General

No order will be deemed to constitute a contract of sale until the goods are dispatched by Serendipity Crystals.

Prices

The price payable shall be that displayed at the time of ordering. Postage payable will be approximate costs plus packaging. If there is a large difference between postage costs, an additional invoice will be sent or a refund given.

Delivery

Payment is due within 3 days of order being placed if paid for via Paypal, credit or debit card. If payment is by cheque, cheque must be received within 7 days of order and goods will not be dispatched until funds have cleared. Goods remain the property of Serendipity Crystals until fully paid for. We highly recommend that all overseas orders are sent International Tracked/Insured as Serendipity Crystals cannot be responsible for goods lost in transit if you do not track & insure them.

Description Of Goods

All goods are sold as described. However, due to natural variation in some products, goods sold may not be exactly as they are photographed i.e. colour/shade difference and distinguishing marks are sometimes unavoidable. The item listing will detail whether you’re buying exactly what is photographed or one of several in stock. Please read the descriptions carefully before buying.

Exchanges/Refunds

A product can be exchanged for whatever reason within 7 days of the Buyer receiving their order. Buyer must contact Seller to inform them immediately that an item is not suitable. Goods returned must be in the same condition as when they were dispatched ie. unused and in the original packaging. Refunds will be made for the cost of the item only. Postage & packaging costs are not reimbursed.

Please note I cannot accept responsibility for damage resulting from postage, misuse and/or fair wear and tear. All goods are packaged securely and safely. If an item is broken or lost in transit, please be aware that I will make a claim with Royal Mail on your behalf, but that they only refund the ‘wholesale cost’ of an item, not the full retail value at which has been sold. This seems highly unfair, but it is the policy of Royal Mail and clearly stated in both these terms & conditions and the conditions of Royal Mail.

Returned Goods

The buyer will be liable for the cost of remedying damage to returned goods where such damage has, in the opinion of the Serendipity Crystals, been caused by the goods being inadequately packaged by the buyer. Please package returns carefully in the same manner they were sent to you. I am happy to offer refunds/returns in most cases, so please give the items due respect for not being right for you.

Returned items MUST be unusued and the Seller contacted within 7 days of the Buyer receiving them. Any item, particularly jewellery, cannot be refunded or returned if it has been worn as this item then becomes ‘second hand’ and cannot be resold. The only time this is acceptable is if an item is proven to be faulty. If an item is not faulty, I will offer a repair or replacement in the first instance. If this isn’t possible, a refund will be offered only if the item can be resold. ie. some people buy jewellery, wear if for a few weeks and then decide ‘it doesn’t resonate any more’. These items are not returnable nor refundable.

Legal Liability

The liability of Serendipity Crystals shall in no circumstances exceed the original value of the price charged for the goods. Serendipity Crystals cannot accept liability for injury or negative consequences of using the products it sells. Serendipity Crystals cannot accept liability for goods lost or broken in transit, but will endeavour to communicate with the carrier and obtain a refund on your behalf. Serendipity Crystals cannot accept liability for goods lost in transit for overseas orders if the buyer chooses not to pay for International Tracked & Insured Postage. Please be aware that the standard carrier for Serendipity Crystals is Royal Mail and their refund policy is to refund the wholesale cost & postage of an item, not it’s resale value. We cannot make a claim for lost packages until 21 working days after an order has been sent out. We follow Royal Mail’s policy with regard to lost items and will make a claim on your behalf after 21 working days should an order not arrive. Other carriers are available as is additional insurance, please contact me prior to ordering.

Acceptance of Terms

By placing an order with Serendipity Crystals you are agreeing to be bound by its terms and conditions as stated above.
