Bridging the Divide in Society

Over the past few months of lockdown, I have noticed the growing trend of division throughout society. Black against white, people against authority, young against old, fearful people against those not in fear, red against blue, male against female, those whom are ‘awake’ against those who are ‘asleep’, religions of all kinds attacking each other and even those walking a spiritual path, taking one side or the other. The list is endless! If you haven’t read the brilliant spiritual post written by Raising Vibrations that explains the current divide amongst the spiritual community, I highly recommend it. Click here to read more.

It makes my heart ache deeply, for a divided society is a conquered society. That is the complete opposite of what humanity needs as we move through the next four years of extreme transformation across the World. If you find yourself on ‘one side’ whilst someone is on the polar opposite ‘side’ and you have no ability to compromise, listen, understand, respect or agree to disagree, then you are part of the problem. I was embroiled in this divisive energy until recently, which is what has prompted this blog.

The cycle of global change we are currently in lasts for four years, so anyone expecting the World to be fixed with a quick flick of a switch may be in for a huge disappointment and probably holds the energy of wanting to be rescued or saved. I would be VERY happy to be wrong on this as a ‘switch flick’ into a new reality would be SO much easier. However, our current reality is that we are following an astrological blueprint that denotes ‘war’. This blueprint goes back in history to many wars ~ WWI, WWII, the Vietnam War, Korea, Iran/Iraq etc. What is different and unique to this time in history is the fact we are beginning a new 200 year cycle simultaneously ~ The Age of  Aquarius.

As long as everyone is fighting each other, those who control the money, the media and influence the world from the top have it easy. People are so busy tearing into one other, they don’t notice the laws and movements those in power are making ~ movements that slowly take away our freedoms and individual rights. People often say ‘well, what can one person do’ and I agree ~ on that premise, all we can do is work on improving our own, individual energy and lives to the best of our ability. However, where we are powerful is in many of us standing up together. Division ensures that doesn’t happen, so we remain weak and powerless as a society.

It has to stop. Where has the understanding, the compassion and love for our fellow human gone? We were all young once, we were all ‘asleep’ once ~ what makes anyone think they’re better than anyone else because they have more awareness or knowledge?

There is no ‘better than’…….. for we are all human and we are all connected. It is vitally important that this is remembered in every single interaction we have. Anyone who shows up in our life to challenge us is simply a reflection of some part of ourselves. That fact is extremely hard for some to hear. It doesn’t make it any less true.

Please, I implore you, don’t buy into any form of division. It will be the downfall of humanity. If you consider yourself to be self aware or spiritual on any level, it’s a good idea to learn about the 12 Spiritual Laws of the Universe and to uphold the most important of those laws. The Law of Divine Oneness.

The Law of Divine Oneness is the foundational law, according to which absolutely everything in our universe is interconnected. Every decision, word, desire, and belief you have will also have an impact on the world and the people you connect with. Imagine yourself as part of everything around you and every single person you come into contact with. What you see in others is actually within you too. Let that sink in next time you feel the desire to influence, control or judge what someone else believes to be true.

A phrase that has been used for some time by spiritual or ‘awake’ people is to call those who are not ‘Sheep’. That is a derogatory, judgemental, unkind label and I highly recommend you check in with yourself and put yourself in someone else’s shoes before insulting them. How would you feel if you were called a Sheep? Would it make you feel good? Would it open you up to listening to others? Would you feel willing to hear new information and share your feelings? I very much doubt it.

Please, if you are a decent human being, stop perpetuating the divide and making people feel ‘less than’ if they don’t hold the same beliefs as you. There’s already enough of that in the World. If you’ve degenerated into that sort of behaviour, believe me, you’re doing exactly what the darker energies in our World want you to do ~ perpetuating the division. Not so spiritual and aware now eh?

Walking a path of true spiritual or self awareness carries responsibility and accountability. We must walk our talk and share our truth FROM OUR HEARTS. If you’re degenerating into calling people names that are an obvious put down, I’d suggest taking a good look in the mirror. You may well be projecting onto others what you are yourself in an effort to show someone else you know it all, are better than them or are ‘right’. It’s all Ego!

And that is the key component of division. Being ‘right’. If you find yourself slipping into dialogue with others where you’re just trying to prove you’re right and they’re wrong, no one wins. It’s a simple as that. Treat people as you wish to be treated. Absolutely stand in your truth, Sovereignty and Integrity and share yourself, but check in with what motivates you. Do you just want to be right? Or do you actually want to help someone from your heart?

These are a few of the things that have helped me a lot recently when division has reared it’s ugly head:

  • Breathe slowly & deeply into your body three times to ground and centre yourself ~ that means putting your phone down and not replying to that social media post, message or email until you’ve got your shit together.
  • Sink deeply into your heart and the emotion of love. We can all do this……. just bring to mind someone or something that you love with all your being (I think of my son). Once you can feel that emotion and love throughout the body, then you’re ready to share what you know.
  • Be respectful. Ask if someone would like to know your thoughts or would be interested in some of the information you’ve learned and honour their wishes if they say no.
  • Refrain from commenting on social media posts or replying to messages if your energy isn’t clear and coming from love as it is likely to cause conflict. Also ask yourself if you would say those things, in that way, to someone if they were sat in front of you rather than in cyber space. If you wouldn’t say it to their face in person, do not write it.
  • Be mindful that people don’t appreciate being punched in the face with information and called names if they struggle to absorb it. All that does is trigger them, quite rightly, into defence. So it’s important that the energy with which you approach others is not antagonistic, frustrated, controlling or unkind.
  • It’s also important that the information you share is factual, fully evidenced by law or science and is a small amount of information so as not to overwhelm. You Tube opinion videos tend not to work as well as fully researched and validated articles with links. It’s about planting a seed or opening others up to asking questions and then letting it go. If they are meant to vibe differently, they’ll get there in their own time. Be calm, kind and factual so as not to trigger any ‘conspiracy theorist’ responses. As soon as someone mentions that phrase, bridging division becomes almost impossible.
  • Be compassionate if you’d like someone to open up and receive information. Remember, you were once in their shoes. How would you feel if someone made you feel stupid or ‘less than’ because they carry what they consider to be superior knowledge?
  • Say ‘Screw You’ to the divisive tactics that the media and big corporations have driven into society on every single level in order to control the population and weaken them. Look at those divisions and come to understand both sides. It allows you to become impartial or neutral, which is a powerful energy to be in. It also allows you to become a bridge, helping people from one side of the energy over to the other when necessary.
  • Also acknowledge when you cannot possibly understand the other side. A white person will never understand what it is like to grow up as a black person. A youngster doesn’t yet understand what it is like to be a pensioner. A man is never going to understand what it is to be a woman. In those circumstances, it’s about listening, accepting and understanding how someone else feels. They grew up in a different era, country, home or family dynamic to you so their patterns and programs will be different to yours and that’s OK. If you cannot support them in what they need in that moment, send them love and quietly walk away. If you can’t transmute the energy, simply be kind.

Learn to become a bridge that helps people across when you are guided to do so. Let your Higher Self guide you instead of the Ego. It makes a monumental difference to the energy and ensures you stay out of the darker aspects. This is what I currently believe Lightworkers are here to do, regardless of whether you are fighting the dark or holding the light.

With so much information coming to light in the World, a LOT of which is manipulated by those trying to do us good AND those trying to do us harm, who knows what is true? No one. Not really. We only know what we believe to be true. There is a big difference.

Not everyone will resonate with being a bridge or doing that work and that is OK. Each of us has our role to play. However, we are all dragged into the energy of division and fear from time to time. It is our responsibility during these phenomenal times in history to ensure we are not a part of that energy any more. To transmute it into something higher, more unifying and more nourishing for humanity going forwards.

With much love

Thank you for your words of wisdom.
I felt very sad due to recent events. There seems to be, as you say a decisive element at work. We must listen and if possible gentle give an alternative view, be respectful at all times. People have a different prospective on life due their influences and programming. Learn also that some people will not change their views. No one is wholeheartedly bad therefore compassion, tolerance and above all should be given to all. We are all on a different energy level.
    Namaste
