Manifesting a New Home With Ease

A PERSONAL STORY

“Sometimes, the Universe will ask you to be patient as it’s organising something far better than you can imagine”

This quote truly resonates as in November 2023, our landlord of 11 years advised that he was putting our house up for sale. At the time, I felt blindsided, devastated and burst into tears.

Lee, my partner and I, absolutely loved our home. It’s where our gorgeous cat, Sparkle, is buried, where my Soul dog, Bear, lived his entire life and where we brought together our family of four children. Nearly all of our big, family get togethers were held there for over a decade. Having been a globe trotter most of my life, it was the longest I’d lived in any home, ever! There were so many memories, that at first, the grief came as a real shock and took my breath away. Neither Lee or I were ready to let the house and that part of our life go.

However, after the initial shock passed, something else became apparent….. It was also the house where we had lived out all of our individual wounding, trauma bonding, self-sabotaging behaviour, ancestral patterns and karmic cycles. As much as the walls were filled with the energy of love, laughter and play….. they are also filled with the energy of pain, deep healing work & heartache. We’d both been wanting a new start together, we just didn’t know how.

It’s absolutely fascinating how energetic and familial ties are unravelled when it’s time to enter a new chapter in our lives. Two weeks after the call from our landlord, we sadly lost Lee’s Mum to dementia. Shortly after that, another big drama blew up in the family that made us take a huge step back, further dissolving old energetic ties and bringing us much closer together as a couple. We truly didn’t want any drama in our life going forwards and had also realised we’d been living our lives for everyone else, rather than ourselves.

With the weight of old patterns and expectations starting to fall away, our focus turned towards prioritising our own needs, as a couple, for the first time ever! It was time to decide what sort of life we wanted to create together and to manifest our dream home!

At first, it was kept really simple. A garden for the dog, a garage for the bike and for the house to have a good energy rating so it was warm in the bitter Yorkshire winters. What we actually needed wasn’t much. However, what we truly dreamed of was far greater 😉

Deep down, I wanted nice grass to walk on for daily Earthing and Meditation practices and a safe space for our Lumi pod for Cold Water Therapy. I wanted an office or studio space full of natural light in order to start painting again. A nice kitchen was also on the wish list and to live in a village with a proper community ~ one that we could become part of and where we could just relax into our authentic selves. Our dream location was Holmfirth (where the famous British series, Last of the Summer Wine, was filmed). We’d been there many times over the years and loved the feel of it and the surrounding areas, but I was aware Lee had never lived outside Sheffield. However, he truly wanted a complete change in lifestyle and was ALL in.

So, I decided, on the spot, that wherever we were moving to was going to be a huge ‘uplevel’ and put faith in the Universe to deliver. Knowing we needed to downsize, it was impossible to explain the ‘uplevel’, yet I could feel it deeply on an intuitive level and locked it into every thought and vision about our new home.

As fledgling manifestors, we were aware we needed to visualise, to truly feel it and then take small action steps towards the dream. Yet weeks and then months passed and nothing came up that was suitable. There was always something missing ~ either the garden, or the garage, or, as the housing market seems to have gone bonkers here in the UK, rents were often unrealistically high with people desperately trying to get tenants to cover an inflated mortgage on a 2nd home. Our manifestation was immediately updated with: our new landlord being financially stable & enjoying the extra income we’d provide.

That’s a clue to how manifestation works ~ being as specific as possible. Many are afraid to do this, but the more information you can imagine, the better the result…… trust me on that one ~ people who diss manifestation simply haven’t achieved it yet. It takes experimentation and practice 😉

More time passed and our house went on the market in March. Bums (not mine, may I add) were starting to squeak, yet I could feel a calm energy that was supportive and indescribable. It was becoming more & more obvious that the Universe was up to something as the village is extremely popular and decent houses don’t hang around. They usually sell before the ‘For Sale’ sign even goes up…. yet ours remained on the market for months. Many viewings were booked and for whatever reason, each cancelled, one after another after another. It was so noticeably bizarre, even Lee said ‘There’s something weird going on here’ ~ to which I smiled and said ‘Yes, the Universe is holding this house sale back as our new one isn’t quite ready yet’. He looked at me, as he often does, as if I was bonkers (it’s one of my favourite looks!).

Finally, in early May, a fabulous house came up in a nearby village called Denby Dale. It wasn’t Holmfirth, but it wasn’t far away and was nice enough. I immediately called the estate agent and after 10 minutes of chat, they finally asked my full name and said “Oh, I’ve just finished speaking to your other half”. Lee was with his Dad, so I’d assumed he wouldn’t have seen the listing yet. Yet we both had and it was the only time we both called an agent immediately, without even discussing it first. It ensured we were top of the list to view and simply had to wait for the current tenants to move out.

I kid you not, the very next phone call 20 mins later was our landlord, saying the house had sold and we had 8 weeks left to vacate. Nothing else suitable was coming up. We went to see a few places, but I calmly held out for Denby Dale as there was a ‘knowing’ that something about that house was important. Little was I to know it had nothing to do with the house!

With only 3 weeks left to move, Lee phoned the estate agent to ask if things could be hurried along at Denby Dale……. only to be told that the house had just gone in a private rental agreement that morning and there was nothing the agent could do. My man is the epitome of calm, but we’d been waiting to view this place for over two months, had only weeks left to find somewhere to live and so he absolutely lost his s*** and demanded the agent sort something out.

Oddly enough (or not as the case may be), we’d been through another village a few days prior where the same agent had a different house up for let. Lee had called to enquire about it, but was too late as the viewings had already taken place. He pointed it out as we drove past and said ‘Oh wow, that house is incredible, no wonder it went so fast, it would be amazing to live there’ and I fully agreed.

Turns out, no one from the full day of viewings had been ‘suitable’ to the owners, so we were offered a viewing and to meet them at the property that afternoon. The landlady greeted us at the gate and immediately, I just ‘knew’. The synchronicities straight off the bat were ridiculous, let alone the feel of the house itself. It wasn’t just a ‘rental property’, but a proper ‘home’ and a high quality one at that!

It has a HUGE garden that has a lawn like a memory foam mattress (and is maintained for us), a big garage to keep Lee happy, a huge conservatory that is now my office/creative space and a feel to it that just ‘clicked’. I walk into every room and feel so happy and full of love. It’s the first time I’ve ever felt that way about a house before really living in it. The kitchen is gorgeous, the heating system is spot on and it’s a downsize, so has actually done us a huge favour as we’ve been able to gift or sell so much ‘clutter’ (anyone else have a partner that hoards? Keeps maaaaany unused things for decades ‘just in case’???).

As we walked away, I said to Lee ‘THIS is our new home and we’re going to be helping the owners in some way’. He fully agreed with the first part and I got ‘the look’ again with regard to the second 😊

On our next visit to measure up, the first thing our new landlady pointed out was her husband’s arthritis…. now THAT is something my holistic experience can help with immediately and effectively. She also mentioned it had been her Mum’s house and Mum’s Spirit was hanging around, so they’d never been able to sell it…… They’d had awful tenants and hassle in the past and had been praying for someone lovely to come along. I duly returned ‘the look’ to Lee and stuck my tongue out.

Oh…… and did I mention….. our new village is in Holmfirth, West Yorkshire 😉 What is also serendipitous is I met a lovely woman at a Cacao Ceremony in Holmfirth early this year and she invited me to her home for a cuppa and walk around the village. She is the first ‘woo’ person I’ve really clicked with in Yorkshire, despite having lived here for over 12 years now. She is also the only person who has ever walked me around a village and shown me everything it has to offer. That is the very same village we’re now living in. Funny how things work out, eh? 😉

As a little round up (just for you lovely Dilys), the keys to manifesting your dream home are:

  • KNOW you already have what you’re trying to manifest. For months, I’d been giving gratitude daily for our wonderful home, incredible garden and wonderful lifestyle. Hoping won’t do it. Wishing won’t do it. You must fool the mind into thinking it’s already living the manifestation (our brain doesn’t know the difference between fantasy and reality). How we perceive life is how it shows up and if what we’re telling our brain isn’t our actual/physical reality, you watch the magic that happens as the Universe realigns everything to match what your brain believes. It’s happened to me too many times to deny now.
  • Visualise with FEELING. Don’t just think it, feel it. I’d imagined grounding myself in a lovely garden to the point I could feel the heat in the earth under my feet, could smell the flowers, could feel the expansiveness of looking out over an amazing view. I’d imagined laughing with the owners and having a wonderful relationship with them. Visualised walking down to the local pub and meeting new people in local groups and events etc. The focus was entirely on living our new future. As it so happens, said pub is a five-minute walk away and holds a quiz night on a Sunday night, next to one of the best Indian takeaways in the region (we’d jokingly asked for a decent takeaway as our old village was rubbish). Seriously, don’t be scared to visualise in graphic detail. Get specific and again, don’t be scared when exactly what you imagined appears, or if it surpasses your dreams! This fills me with awe and always will.
  • Acknowledge any worries, wobbles or fears as we all have them. Then let those go, give yourself a shake and go back to steps 1 and 2 above. Don’t hope, don’t believe, KNOW!
  • Finally, take small steps of action. We kept on packing and sorting things, ready to move. We kept on visiting local villages and imagining ourselves living there. We spoke to people about our wonderful new lifestyle and how it was going to be. I even looked at houses for sale and opened the energy up for money flowing in for us to buy a home, rather than rent, if that was what was meant to be. We were very specific about what we wanted and completely surrendered to the Universe on how it would come about ~ so the energy was opened up in as many ways as possible. That’s another helpful tip for manifestation ~ don’t limit yourself or decide that something has to be whatever way you think it has to be as quite often, the Universe has different ideas that will serve you better…. You simply have to be open to them.

You take care of the ‘what’. The Universe takes care of the ‘how’.

So cheers, from our new home and open, loving hearts. Thanks for joining us on our journey if you’ve read all the way to the end. I can’t wait to write the next chapter of our life together.

Wishing you and yours a wonderful day.

With Love, Krissy & Lee

    Hi Krissy.

Wow! What a truly wonderful read.

I felt quite emotional reading your manifestation journey and am so happy you and Lee have got to where you needed to be with the help of our amazing universe.

My partner and I have been wanting a camper van so we can roam our lovely country , we both keep visualising the one we want inside and out ( including price as they are not cheap!) and see ourselves in different places in it enjoying the freedom it brings.
We have looked at many but there is always something not quite right so like you and your home we believe the timing will be right when the universe steps in . 😊X

My partner is in the process of selling his flat and like you there has been a few hiccups but we keep visualising a SOLD sign

    1. Hi Lorraine, thanks so much for commenting. Am touched that you’re touched! Just hold the line, the manifestation and the vision. Your camper van will come along exactly when the time is right. Maybe the flat needs to sell first? I can see lots of things being organised and ‘put away’. It’s what comes to me. Am certain on the camper van however as every hair on my body has gone up when tapping into that energy, so am excited to see how and when it manifests. Have a wonderful weekend, much love and thanks, Krissy xxx

  2. What a truly lovely read this is Krissy. First thing I read this morning and it’s set me up for the day! I am so glad the Universe came through for you, I think because you surrendered to the process. Which is something I have never managed to achieve, always wanting to believe but also being a little sceptical about it all. However, I wish you and Lee all happiness in your new home and send love to you both.

    1. Thanks so much, may it inspire you. You’re right on the surrender! Doubt is absolutely normal ~ acknowledge it, let it go and move back into faith. I must have done that 100 times over the past 8 months and it’s definitely worked. Much love, Krissy xxx

Krissy, what a truly amazing story. Has really helped me. Lots of love Diane xxx

Thank you for sharing your lovely manifestation! I started to feel as though I was in your new abode with you and looking around your village!! Yet, I live on the other side of the world in New Zealand?!
So pleased for you both that everything is as it should be for you! It sounds like a happy chapter, ahead.
We also have to start looking for another property next year as the owners plan to sell this place. I shall not panic?! I will try to manifest our rightful abode or maybe they change their mind?!
        Best,
        Kathy

        1. You’re most welcome Kathy ~ love that you had the feeling of being here, especially all the way from New Zealand! I wouldn’t try and change the owners mind as that’s control energy, which strikes out manifestation energy as we have to surrender to the flow of the Universe. Soooo hard to do, I’ve always struggled with the control, but this time round, just let go and got excited instead. Talk it through with your other half and get a super clear idea of what you want to experience together and KNOW it’s going to come your way in divine timing. Have a lovely weekend and thanks so much for commenting. Sending love across the miles, Krissy

I loved reading this story. I have manifested a short term living arrangement (house sitting) which will give me more time to keep looking for my ideal home. Your story is inspiring to me and I am trying to trust the universe has something wonderful in store for me as well!

    1. Thanks so much Nancy and glad you’ve enjoyed the read. House sitting is a wonderful opportunity to try out different areas and hone in on what you really want 🙂 The Universe has wonderful things in store for us all, we just have to KNOW it and surrender the energy. Letting go of the control is always the hardest bit for me! Bright blessings, Krissy

  5. WOW! That is amazing Krissy 🙂 I loved reading the whole story and how you dealt with it. I have learned a lot from your experience, Letting Go1 Hmm difficult but if we try to keep control, how can the Universe do it’s thing? 🙂

How special your new home is, I am really Happy for you 🙂 xx

    1. You’re most welcome Patsy, thanks so much for taking the time to comment ~ and a great comment at that ‘How can the Universe do it’s thing if we’re holding on/controlling the energy?’ ~ I might have to turn that into a meme. Sending much love, Krissy xxx

  6. That was very timely reading, thanks. And we are older/old renters, likely to be asked to leave our lovely flat soon. So much anxiety at the thought. Like you, I do have very definite ideas about what I want re living arrangements. But unlike you I don’t live a life in coherence with Spirit, so, not sure what I am likely to manifest! But still, this made me feel more hopeful!😃💜 Thank you!

    1. You’re most welcome. Am sorry you will likely to be asked to leave your flat and the anxiety that will cause, which of course is going to get worse as we get older as uprooting is difficult at any point, let alone when the physical body doesn’t work quite as well as it used to. You don’t have to live a life in coherence with Spirit to manifest what you desire. Simply focus on what that is, visualise it, feel it and walk your mind through it as intensely and as often as you can and then start to take some action towards it. TRUST that you’ll find the right place for you and be open to it coming in from left field. I did not imagine we’d end up where we have and it’s surpassed all of our manifestation efforts ~ which am certain is down to faith and knowing our worth. Much love and good luck, Krissy

  7. Very lovely timing to find your website, and spirit plopped this article right in front of me. Needless to say I have been trying to manifest somewhere to live and it’s all getting a bit last minute. I have been told very firmly that things are in hand, but that’s hard to keep the faith when time is ticking. So I decided if all the rental doors seem closed, there must be a different route that I’m hiding with fear. So while my housing gets lined up, I am instead going to do a little tour in a van around the UK painting the energy of the landscapes. Deep breath! And meanwhile I promise to start decluttering all the things I’ve got ‘just in case’ and begin packing!
Thanks for your calming inspiration 🙂

    1. Love it when we’re guided to the information we need! Hold on, keep the faith and focus on what you DO want, not on the fear. We’re living through times of great uncertainty at the moment and are all being asked to become comfortable with uncertainty. It’s not easy, that’s for sure, so sending you much love. Enjoy your creative adventures around the UK Nicki (how amazing to be able to do this). Trust that the perfect thing will arrive at the right time xxx
