Hello Lovely
I was drawn to the most delightful energy last month. Something I’ve never felt before. As soon as I held a piece of this rare mineral in my hand, I bought the entire lot! It lit up my energy system in ways that are hard to describe. As I breathed the energy in, it had an opening effect on the body, particularly from the heart chakra downwards. Lots of tingling, swirling and energy activation, which created movement of energy in the body and I was able to stamp my feet and dance a little to simply shake it out. What a wonderful release! To be honest, I’d never even heard of this mineral, which was even more intriguing. So, I’ve been sitting with it for over a month to see what it brings up within.
Carrollite is a highly unusual and transformative mineral. It is created in the hydrothermal veins beneath volcanoes. It is named after Caroll County in Maryland, USA, where it was first discovered. Carrollite is a member of the Linnaeite group and contains copper (natural anti-inflammatory), cobalt (regeneration, transformation) and nickel (grounding, protecting, cleansing) with traces of Selenium (antioxidant that supports the immune & reproductive systems and the thyroid/metabolic system).
As we can see, just from it’s composition above, that’s a lot of protective and supportive energy rolled into one mineral. Carrollite is said to provide protection from all negative energies and psychic attack. It is grounding and provides a shield of energy to keep lower vibrations away. This seems to adjust with each different person, so it really is about personal protection from anything that doesn’t serve us.
The energy is uplifting in that it opens the heart whilst simultaneously opening the mind, lifting us out of low, anxious, stressful or negative thoughts, particularly if we keep looping back to them and just can’t seem to let them go. This is likely why this rare mineral is known to transcend fear and move us into the vibration of love. It’s shifting our energy on a personal level that opens us up to higher frequencies and allows the deepening and advancement of spiritual growth and development.
It’s a fantastic mineral to use to cleanse and then close chakras. By ‘close’, I don’t mean shut down completely. In my experience, to ‘close’ a chakra point means that it has been cleansed of all stagnant or unwanted energy and is spinning at a speed that is perfect for our body. It isn’t spilling energy outwards, nor taking unwanted energy in ~ which can happen if a chakra point is very unbalanced or clogged up with old energies that need to be released.
Just leaving a piece of Carrollite on your bedside table overnight would ensure that your auric field was cleansed and reset for optimum benefit whilst you slept. People often ask me what to ‘do’ with a crystal and with Carrollite, you don’t have to do much with it if you don’t want. It just needs to be close enough to you to impact your auric field, so on a bedside table, a side table in a living room or a desk would be perfect.
This is a fabulous mineral to bring up the human/personal aspects of self in order to clear them and then be able to vibrate at a higher frequency. It’s a work horse that supports and guides us in doing the inner work. As we rise in frequency, we’re able to connect more with our higher self/soul and guides in Spirit, supporting us in developing our psychic skills and spiritual gifts, even connecting us to Light Language or the Akashic Records if we’re inclined to explore these modalities.
On a physical level, this metallic based mineral has been used for centuries for healing the body. Due to the blend of metals and base rock, often with Quartz or Garnet, Carrollite is said to support cellular regeneration and healing after injury. This makes absolute sense given the inclusion of metals that support the easing of inflammation and cleansing, antioxidant properties. It is therefore known for purifying the blood and lymphatic system, which in turn supports our heart and circulatory system. For some people, it can ease pain, particularly muscle or bone/joint aches and pains.
It definitely eases mental overwhelm, fear, anxiety, stress, low or unregulated moods and emotional distress. Simply focus on the piece, turning it over and over in your hands, like the meditative practice of staring at a flame. Pass the mineral over your third eye and around the head if you’re struggling mentally and the same for your heart and higher heart if struggling emotionally. This mineral contains cobalt, which boosts our immune system and aids in healing cellular disorders (hence recommending it for a bedside table, as our cells regenerate overnight if we produce enough Melatonin).
Because of the impact this mineral has on our lower chakras, it’s a great one to have in the bedroom (or a chunk placed under the bed, in the middle) as it supports us in speaking our truth in relationships and advocating strong boundaries for ourselves from a place of love, rather than defensive walls erected from a place of fear.
It’s also a fabulous meditation tool due to it’s grounding, protective and opening properties. It allows us to anchor our energy, to focus and not be distracted. Therefore, it’s a wonderful as a crystal to have on a desk or in a place of work as it draws in inspirational and creative energy, whilst promoting relaxation and connection to self and higher guidance.
All in all, I really didn’t expect this mineral to bring forth so much and find it a wonderful crystal ally during times of change, challenge or when we’re uplevelling as it seems to move so much of the ‘crap’ out of our heart, mind and body. Particularly when we feel uneasy or unsafe.
If you have any experience of working with Carrollite, please do share it below in the comments as I love to hear other’s experiences and then everyone who reads the blog going forwards can also benefit.
Wishing you a wonderful day.
With Love
