Hematite – Large Botryoidal – Item A

This is a stunning piece of large natural Hematite, straight as it comes out of the ground. It’s smooth on top, and rough on the bottom. This is a lovely combination, and has an organic feel and is gentler in it’s grounding action than it’s tumbled counterpart. It is called Botryoidal when it forms in water, resembling a bunch of grapes. Goethite, Malachite and other minerals also form in this botryoidal shape when water is present.

Hematite is a highly grounding gemstone known for dissolving negativity and helping to block unwanted energies from entering the aura. It supports concentration and brings awareness into the present moment, making it especially useful during study – particularly in mathematics and technical subjects. It is also said to assist in legal matters and to help maintain a sense of stability during spiritual experiences.

Associated with the base chakra, hematite is said to support the circulatory system and blood, and to ease disorders of the kidneys, liver, and renal system. Its high iron content and natural weight contribute to its reputation as a powerful grounding stone, often helping to calm anxiety, drama, and hysteria. Additionally, it is valued for boosting confidence, focus, and mental clarity.
