Holistic Support & Soul Alignment

Scheelite is an important ore of Tungsten. It was first recognised in Sweden in approximately 1762 and originally named Tungsten, meaning ‘heavy stone’. Carl Scheele, a chemist, realised that when the metal was removed, what remained behind was a golden coloured mineral. To this end, they renamed the metal element ‘Tungsten’ and the mineral was called Scheelite after Carl Scheele. It’s incredible how heavy even small pieces are ~ they’re fabulous to lay on the sacral or solar plexus chakras as they start off feeling heavy and by the time the energetic rebalancing of the chakra is complete, it feels like there’s nothing there!

Scheelite appears in various colours ranging from transparent to white, yellow, orange and occasionally a mix of brown & green. What is known as ‘blue Scheelite’ is, in fact, marketed as Lapis Lace Onyx. There is very little Scheelite in Lapis Lace, often just the faintest hue of orange or cream. It’s usually a combination of Dolomite and Calcite (neither Lapis nor Onyx ~ they certainly know how to confuse things!).

Scheelite is esteemed the World over with collectors for it’s fantastic metaphysical properties and collectors struggle to find pure pieces as it so often grows with mica or other calcium based minerals.

Scheelite is a wholly holistic crystal, which means it can support us with our spiritual growth and development, with a multitude of physical issues and also mental or emotional challenges. It’s important to program Scheelite so it knows what you want it to focus on. If you’re not sure, but are just being drawn to this gorgeous mineral, ask it to ‘Work for my highest good’.

Scheelite supports us on a spiritual level as it aligns our chakra system, particularly stimulating the top of our head (crown) and bottom of our feet (root) as well as all of the lower chakras. Once our energy system is in alignment, it is easy to move into deep meditative states, to journey or to astral travel with it. It’s also a great energy to work with creatively as it boosts our energy, providing impetus, motivation, enthusiasm and inspiration. This lovely mineral can also support us in learning divination modalities such as tarot or scrying. It truly is a stone of alignment! This crystal does what it says on the tin, so you may feel unusual or a bit funny as it pulls your system into balance.

On a physical level, Scheelite works to increase our energy and vitality, improve our circulation, clears any imbalance of energy within the reproductive system (for both men and women) and also works to clear sadness and issues around ‘lack’ or ‘worthiness’ from the lungs. As part of it’s ability to boost our energy, Scheelite can work with the over or under activity of the adrenals and the use of the hormone cortisol within the body. It’s a brilliant energy to utilise during times of stress and particularly if you’ve ever experienced burn out or feel really depleted.

Emotionally and mentally, Scheelite brings in balance and stability. It allows us to let go of negative thoughts and feelings that keep us looping in cycles of negative thought or repeating patterns in our life that create negativity in relationships. It is a great mineral to work with when trying to embody Forgiveness. As our solar plexus and sense of self (self confidence & self esteem) is strengthened through the energy of Scheelite, we achieve clarity in our mind, allowing better decision making, the strength to hold ourselves accountable for what happens in our life (ie. letting go of Victim/Martyr mentality) and to allow creative solutions to familiar problems.

Finally, the reason I personally love this crystal is it works to boost our personal power, aligning us with the Tantien (also known as Dantien) chakra, which lies just below our naval. Once our chakra system has been aligned and we’re operating on a higher energy level, we can access and clearly hear the nudges from our Soul. We may not like what we hear or we may love it. Either way, working with Scheelite aligns us with our Soul or Higher Self on a deeper level, ensuring we have the strength and confidence to follow it’s guidance without resistance.
