Kundalini Quartz ~ Activating the Higher Chakras

Kundalini Quartz ~ Activating the Higher Chakras

I am SO excited to be able to blog about the new find of Kundalini Quartz ~ its the first in nearly twenty years and very little is known about this quartz. It has a small mention in the Crystal Bible 2.

Kundalini Quartz is similar to candle quartz, but has two very distinctive features……firstly, it only comes from one location in the world, a very remote region in The Congo in Africa. Secondly, it is ONLY natural Citrine. Kundalini Quartz can range from a pale honey colour to an almost brown, smoky colour ~ but to be considered Kundalini Quartz, it MUST be from this one source and it MUST be Natural Citrine. Some pieces have whisps of Smoky Quartz or Hematite in them, but I have found the best specimens to be purely Citrine.

It would be hard to create heat treated Kundalini Quartz as Amethyst (which is what they heat to create heat treated Citrine) rarely comes in these huge ‘candle quartz’ type explosions. However, given its rarity and what it does for us, I have no doubt they will be desperately trying to recreate this quartz in some form in China, India and South America. Make sure whomever you purchase it from knows exactly where they have obtained their quartz from and what it actually is! If in doubt, drop me a line and I’ll confirm it for you as I’ve handled quite a bit of it now and have learned much about the distinctive look, colours and energy of this amazing crystal.

As a massive lover of Natural Citrine, I was giddy with excitement when the boxes were opened and proceeded to buy all of the best specimens, including all of the pale honey colour as that is the rarest form and there were only six pieces. Getting first pick and being allowed to unpack the boxes was a gift from Spirit as having been a bit poorly, I really didn’t feel like travelling to my supplier on the day this shipment came in…….only I had a dream….and was intuitively prodded and pushed. I even said to my partner, ‘I have no idea why am travelling today, only there is something that needs to be purchased and brought home!’. Coincidentally enough, I felt better than I had in weeks on that specific day…….GOT to love how the Universe works 😉

Kundalini Quartz is named as such as it is said to draw energy up from our base chakra. However, I don’t know if its this particular new find or if we are working from a much deeper or higher vibrational place in this day and age, but the pieces I have worked with go much deeper than just the base. I could feel the energy being drawn up from the earth, from deep within the Earth Star Chakra, which is the seat of our soul. This energy moves up through our system, igniting and spinning each chakra as it goes.

This experience can feel quite intense, so be ready for it. Activating our Kundalini energy is said to shift us forward in life and get us moving along our spiritual path. Great to use if we’re stuck on any level or are working through transforming or changing something in our lives. This activation and subsequent connection allows us to work from our spiritual centre, rather than the egoic mind. If we don’t feel that energy being drawn up or it seems sluggish or like its getting stuck, then there are things in our personal life that are holding back our spiritual development and ability to raise vibrations. These need to become our primary focus if we wish to change our lives.

If all of the chakras are balanced and unblocked, we may not feel this rush, but instead, may feel the energy connect directly to the chakra it wants to work on. When I first connected to it, the energy flew straight to above my head, opening my crown like a sonic boom and raced up into the etheric chakras. I could feel it for hours afterwards. It was like my hair was static (even though it wasn’t) and there was a deep, comforting, beautiful pulse in the solar plexus area. I was immediately drawn to a piece that almost looks like a wand and know this will be a working tool, both energetically and for manifestation, for many years to come.

Kundalini Quartz is also an incredibly powerful manifestation and abundance tool. I would, however, recommend working with the chakra system first so you firmly connect to your piece and then start using it for manifestation work. It’s like this crystal becomes an extension of our energy system and it seems to keep pulling in Universal energy in a circular wave, never ending and constantly flowing. It absolutely fascinates me. If anyone has any of their own personal experiences they would like to share, please let me know as I’d love to hear how this magical crystal works for you.

Kundalini Quartz, like other forms of Citrine, does not retain any negative energy. However, it still needs to be cleansed and most certainly charged up as it works on such deep levels. I would also recommend only using this crystal on your self unless you are a fully qualified and practising crystal therapist. You MUST know what you’re doing if you want to activate Kundalini energy in someone else. Keep something nearby to ground with after using it and ensure you can eat and drink water after working with this crystal to calm both the physical and energetic body down.

Kundalini Quartz lights us up, connecting us strongly to the supportive, inspirational, creative, source energy of the Universe. It helps us to transform ourselves, to learn to trust ourselves and the bigger picture. It supports us in believing in ourselves, so we grow in confidence and our self esteem rises up. Kundalini Quartz works very hard on silencing our inner critic so we can blossom and flourish into who we are meant to be. My piece makes me feel like anything is possible 🙂

With much love and joy

I think I found kudalini quartz on Etsy. It is more yellow than a brownish yellow. The seller is from the UK. I have a pic if you’d like. Thanks

    • Hi

It is very hard to distinguish between Natural Citrine & Kundalini Quartz, but I’d be happy to take a look for you if you’d like? Many thanks and bright blessings, Krissy
