The Grand Christmas Bazaar and Lights Switch On has fast become a firm favourite. There is so much to see and do, with a huge variety of high quality food, gift, artisan & craft stands. There are tons of performances on throughout the afternoon and early evening alongside a beautiful Lantern Parade.
The Grand Bazaar is chock full of quality stands and is expected to take place in a new home this year, with the opening of the new temporary events hall on the Promenade.
Helping switch the lights on this year is Kelsey Beth Crossley from Emmerdale and The Voice who’ll be appearing at the Buxton Opera House Christmas Panto this year.
Buxton Sparkles are expecting gatecrashers at this year’s Winter Celebration & Christmas Lights Switch on so if you are out and about in the Pavilion Gardens on the evening of Friday November 20th keep your eyes peeled. Rumour has it there may be aliens lurking in the bushes, space rockets, weird unearthly music and possibly a UFO.
Whatever you discover, why not come along and join in the fun, walk with the lantern parade, see the Peak Paddlers on the lake making magic with Aladdin, feast on some hot festive food and celebrate the coming of Christmas and Winter. This is a free event!
